When will the 2026 BMW iX be released?

Production of the 2026 BMW iX is scheduled to begin in March 2026 (or March 2025 depending on market rollouts, check with dealer for specific allocation). We expect inventory to start arriving at US dealerships, including BMW of Milwaukee North, shortly thereafter in Q2.

How much does the 2026 BMW iX cost?

The pricing structure has shifted with the new lineup:

• iX xDrive45: Starts at approximately $76,325.
• iX xDrive60: Starts around $89,675.
• iX M70: Starts at $112,675.

Note: MSRP excludes destination & handling fees.

Does the BMW iX qualify for the $7,500 Tax Credit?

Since the iX is built in Germany, it does not qualify for the federal tax credit if purchased. However, if you lease the vehicle, BMW Financial Services often passes the $7,500 credit to you as a “Lease Credit,” significantly lowering your monthly payments.

Range varies by trim:

• xDrive45: ~312 miles.

What is the towing capacity of the BMW iX?

When properly equipped with the factory tow hitch, the 2026 BMW iX has a maximum towing capacity of 5,512 lbs. This is sufficient for towing a mid-size boat or camping trailer.

How fast is the iX M70?

The iX M70 is incredibly fast. With Launch Control activated, it sprints from 0-60 mph in just 3.6 seconds, making it one of the fastest SUVs on the market.

Charging & Battery.

How long does it take to charge the iX?

Level 2 (Home): A full charge (0-100%) takes about 10-11 hours using an 11 kW wallbox.

DC Fast Charging (Public): The xDrive60 and M70 can charge from 10% to 80% in about 35 minutes at a 195 kW station.

Does the iX come with free charging?

Yes, new BMW iX models typically come with 2 years of complimentary 30-minute charging sessions at Electrify America stations. Ask our client advisors for the specific terms for the 2026 model year.

Does the 2026 iX have a frunk (front trunk)?

No. The hood of the iX is fixed and does not open for storage. It is only opened by technicians for service. The windshield washer fluid filler is conveniently located under the BMW badge on the hood.
