2025 BMW 5 Series vs 2024 BMW 5 Series

Serving Milwaukee, WI

In 2024, the stunning BMW 5 Series sedan debuted its eighth generation with extensive updates from end to end. Because of the many updates introduced in 2024, the 2025 5 Series is mostly unchanged. However, there is one significant update for you to be aware of before making your next luxury sedan purchase at BMW of Milwaukee North.

Performance

The primary difference between the 2024 and 2025 BMW 5 Series is the addition of the 550e trim for the 2025 model. This is the top-of-the-line trim level, and it pairs an inline-six, 3.0-liter turbo engine with an electric motor. This PHEV produces 483 total horsepower, and it comes with all-wheel drive and an eight-speed auto transmission. The other engines are unchanged. The entry-level system is a four-cylinder, turbo 2.0-liter, 255-horsepower unit. An inline-six, turbo 3.0-liter engine is also available, giving you 375 horsepower.

Appearance

The 2025 5 Series, which was completely redesigned in 2024, is identically styled as its predecessor. The 5 Series has a prestigious, flowing profile with seamless lines from front to rear. The sides show off a hint of contouring and are individualized with a bold wheel design. The defined hood rolls downward toward a wide, black grille with minor, vertical accent lines. The lower fascia is minimized, and the poignant headlights are strongly angled.

Features

The BMW 5 Series for 2024 and 2025 have the same features on a trim-by-trim basis. Some of their shared features are a wireless charging pad, forward collision warning, an integrated navigation system, a digital instrument cluster, a touch display screen, wireless smartphone app connections, a Harman Kardon advanced audio system, heated seats, a heated steering wheel, a head-up display, remote start, enhanced parking assistance, gesture and voice controls, a panoramic glass roof, adaptive cruise control, and many other high-end features.
