Serving Milwaukee, WI
If you have been waiting for the right time to upgrade to your next luxury crossover SUV, that time may have arrived. The BMW X3 is a small luxury SUV with endless appeal, and it introduces exceptional improvements in the 2022 model year. After comparing the differences between the 2021 and 2022 X3 crossovers, you may be ready to finalize your selection and drive home in your next vehicle.
Performance
Two critical updates have been made to the 2022 BMW X3 under the hood. First, the xDrive30e plug-in hybrid system has been discontinued. The turbocharged six-cylinder system available in the 2021 model year now comes with mild-hybrid technology for the 2022 model year. This engine now produces 382 horsepower, and it continues to have all-wheel drive. The base-level engine, a 2.0-liter turbo, four-cylinder engine, is unchanged. It continues to deliver 248 horsepower and is offered with your choice of front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive. Both powertrains have an eight-speed auto transmission.
Appearance
The front and rear styles on the 2022 BMW X3 are revamped for a more modern, sophisticated look. The latest version of the X3 has a segmented, compact grille with vertical, chrome pars. The lower-front fascia trends inward to draw attention to the grille. The LED headlights have a radiating quality for added distinction. The sides are vigorously sculpted with upper and lower areas of definition. A metallic accent piece lines the lower portion of the doors. At the rear, the LED taillights have been reshaped.
Features
Inside the cabin, the 2022 X3 has a redesigned center stack, and it comes with the option for a larger touch display screen. Some of the interior features have been shuffled across the trim lineup. Base-level features for 2022 include a power liftgate, a dual-zone auto climate control system, wireless smart device app connections, remote vehicle monitoring, a navigation system, a wireless hotspot, a lane departure warning, frontal collision mitigation, and more. An auto parking system, a premium Harman Kardon sound system, a heads-up display, heated seats in the front and rear, and other features are added to the higher trim levels.
