The small X3 crossover and the coupe-like X4 crossover have the same two powertrain options. The base-level possibility is a 248-horsepower, four-cylinder, turbo 2.0-liter system. The other option is a mild-hybrid 3.0-liter V6 engine that offers 382 horsepower behind the wheel. The 2022 BMW X5 is a midsize crossover SUV with three powertrain options. These options begin with the 3.0-liter turbo V6 system that produces 335 horsepower. A plug-in hybrid V6 is offered as a mid-level option, and it offers 389 total horsepower. If you choose the top X5 trim level, your BMW crossover SUV will receive 523 horsepower from a turbo 4.4-liter V8 engine.

Appearance

These three crossovers all have BMW’s segmented grille and graceful styling, but they are visually unique. The X3 is a sophisticated model that stands upright. It is defined by scallop-like headlights and prominent, linear accents across the hood and sides. The X4 has a coupe body style with a sharp angle through the roof and a hatchback-like liftgate. It also stands apart with deep accents on the sides, aggressive headlights, and a tall, aerodynamic hood. The X5 has the same tall stance that the X3 has. This three-row crossover has larger dimensions with more definition over the wheel wells. It also has larger headlights with upper LED light bars and a more commanding grille.

Features
