What’s New for the 2025 BMW X7?
The luxurious BMW X7 debuted in 2019 with a captivating design, a smooth performance, and exceptional features. In 2025, the X7 continues to be a first-version model. However, it embraces evolution with an exciting improvement.
The Driving Assistance Professional Package continues to be an option for the 2025 model year, but it is upgraded. This feature now has an eye-activated lane change function. Previously, drivers had to confirm their intention to change lanes through the turn signal. Now, this confirmation comes from looking at the exterior rear mirror. This technology supports hands-free driving as fast as 85 miles per hour.
The three available powertrains for the BMW X7 are identical to the previous model year’s engines. The entry-level system is a turbo V6, 375 horsepower unit. The mid-range option is a 523-horsepower, V8, twin-turbo 4.4-liter engine. The top Alpina XB7 trim level continues to have a 630-horsepower V8 engine. All trim levels come with all-wheel drive, an eight-speed auto transmission, and an air suspension system with adaptive dampers.
On the exterior, the standard wheel size is 21 inches. In 2025, shoppers can now opt for 23-inch wheels. The design is unchanged and continues to display a sharp yet refined look. The recognized BMW grille is slightly squared off. The nose’s lower fascia and air inlets have an edgy design that produces an aggressive look. The slim headlights show off a pair of side-by-side LED ribbons.
The interior of the 2025 BMW X7 holds steady with the same brilliant features and bold styling. The expansive, curved screen houses the 14.9-inch touch display screen and the 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster. This three-row model also has ambient cabin lights, a power-adjusting and heated steering wheel, heated front seats, second-row captain’s chairs, a Digital Key, a Harman Kardon advanced audio system, a wireless internet hotspot, and wireless device charging. Numerous driver’s aids are standard for all trims, including a lane departure warning, a blind-spot monitor, forward collision sensing with mitigation, and a rear cross-traffic alert.
