What’s New for the 2025 BMW X5?

The BMW X5 midsize crossover SUV has enduring appeal as a luxury vehicle. This well-engineered model introduces several improvements in 2025 for drivers in the Milwaukee area to enjoy from behind the wheel.

One of these improvements is the introduction of lane change assist as a standard feature. In addition, the hands-free Highway Assist feature is now optional. With this technology, the driver no longer needs to confirm their intention to shift lanes with the turning signal. Instead, the driver looks at the corresponding side mirror. After the driver makes this movement, the vehicle will change the lane when it is safe.

The exterior design of the 2025 BMW X5 is identical to its predecessor’s style. The X5 is a sizable vehicle with a sporty shape. It is styled with a long, flatly angled hood styled with crisp accent lines. The roofline maintains substantial height for the benefit of the passengers while also tapering athletically to the rear. On the sides, the X5 has a lower lip, an upper crease, and sculpted haunches. The front of the X5 displays a modernized version of BMW’s classic, kidney-style grille. The edgy grille connects to the double-elemental, horizontal LED headlights. The lower fascia is prominent and rolls to the sides to connect with tall air inlets.

The capabilities of the 2025 X5 are comparable to those of the 2024 version. The gas engine is an inline-six, turbocharged unit that generates 375 horsepower. There is also a plug-in hybrid engine that mates this gas-powered unit with an electric motor to create 483 horsepower. If you choose the high-performance M60i trim level, your 2025 X5 will have a 523-horsepower, twin-turbo V8 gas engine. Across all trims, the X5 comes with an automatic eight-speed transmission.

The BMW X5 continues to deliver a pampering ride with features like high-end upholstery, heated seats, memory functions for the driver’s position, a panoramic sunroof, a two-zone auto climate control system, customizable ambient lighting, massaging seats, soft-close doors, a Bowers & Wilkins audio system, a curved display screen that integrates the driver’s instruments with the infotainment system, a wireless hotspot, a wireless charging pad and additional features.
