What’s New for the 2025 BMW M4 Coupe?
The 2025 M4 Coupe is a sporty, high-end car available in three trim levels: base, Competition, and Competition xDrive. While the 2024 M4 Coupe benefited from several exciting improvements, BMW has also continued to push the dial with updates to the 2025 model year.
The updates to the M4 Coupe begin with enhancements to the engineering of the Competition and Competition xDrive. The 503-horsepower, turbo 3.0-liter, six-cylinder engine has been fine-tuned to deliver a 20-horsepower boost. This takes the output to 523 horsepower. This engine continues to be available with an eight-speed transmission. The base trim is equipped with a 473-horsepower, turbo 3.0-liter, six-cylinder engine. This pairs with a six-speed manual transmission. Rear-wheel drive is standard for the base and Competition trim levels, and the Competition xDrive comes with all-wheel drive. An electronic rear limited-slip differential and adaptive suspension dampers elevate performance for all trims.
On the exterior, the M4 Coupe has refreshed lighting, including laser diode features for the tail lamps. The wheels have also been redesigned with forged alloy metal in a bright silver color. The style is distinctive, with a tall, slender grille and two pairs of lower air inlets on the bumper. From the side view, the fastback profile, well-defined back haunches, and sculpted sides create a powerful look.
Inside, the M4 Coupe sports a new flat-bottom steering wheel. The infotainment system now includes iDrive 8.5 software. The M4 Coupe’s other standard and available features are unchanged. These include a 14.9-inch touch display screen, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, auto emergency braking, wireless phone charging, a navigation system, a digital instrument panel, leather upholstery, a blind-spot warning, a head-up display, remote start, a heated steering wheel, a powered trunk lid, evasive steering assist, cross-traffic detection at the front and rear, a sunroof, an automated parking system, and several other features.
