What’s New for the 2024 BMW X1?
The BMW X1 is a high-end, subcompact crossover SUV, among the smallest crossover vehicles in the lineup in 2024. It benefited from a bold redesign in the 2023 model year, so its style is unchanged for the 2024 model year. However, the 2024 BMW X1 does have a few improvements. The debut of the M35i xDrive trim level is one of the most significant changes for the 2024 model year. With this trim level, your X1 comes with a four-cylinder, turbo 2.0-liter engine that produces 312 horsepower. It also features high-performance brakes and an adaptive suspension system. The powertrain in the entry-level X1 xDrive28i is unchanged. This is a 241-horsepower, four-cylinder, turbocharged 2.0-liter engine. Both engines come with a seven-speed auto, dual-clutch transmission.
The new X1 M35i xDrive has a distinctive facade as well. It has black exterior trim, quad tailpipes, a sportier grille, and more dominant front air vents. Overall, the 2024 BMW X1 has an eye-catching look with a tall profile, a short and angled nose, and deep, well-defined contouring. The front end has a subtly squared-off version of BMW’s traditional kidney-shaped grille. The lower fascia and the L-shaped air intakes on the nose stand tall. The headlights on the 2024 X1 enhance the front end’s design with a pair of angled LED bars. Exterior features include a power liftgate, 18-inch to 20-inch wheels, a panoramic sunroof, auto-dimming side mirrors, all-season or summer performance tires, and more.
For all trim levels, the 2024 X1 now has updated iDrive nine infotainment system software that improves the menu layout and optimizes navigation. If you opt for the M35i xDrive trim, your X1 will have an M-branded steering wheel and sport front seats with faux suede upholstery. Features that carry up from the 2023 model year include front and rear parking sensors, a blind-spot warning, forward collision warning, a lane departure warning, rear cross-traffic sensing, a navigation system, a dual-zone auto climate control system, a 10.7-inch touch display screen, a digital instrument panel, and configurable ambient cabin lights.
