What’s New for the 2024 BMW iX?
The BMW iX is an elite, two-row crossover that delivers coveted features and styling with an all-electric system. For 2024, the BMW iX is a mid-generational version almost identical to the 2023 iX. The façade is designed to garner both envy and attention on the road, and it boasts a distinguished, tall grille in the brand’s signature kidney shape. The short bumper and the sizable air vents are sharply designed, and the slit-style headlights have a pair of sectioned LED bars. The roof tapers into the hands-free power liftgate, and the sides are distinctly sculpted.
This midsize crossover continues to be offered with two trim levels. The xDrive50 produces 516 horsepower, jets up to 60 miles per hour in only 4.4 seconds. The top speed is 124 miles per hour. This trim has a range of 324 miles. The top M60 trim generates 610 horsepower, requiring 3.6 seconds to reach 60 miles per hour. Its top speed is 130 miles per hour, and has a 288-mile range. Both trims have one-pedal driving and all-wheel drive.
The interior of the BMW iX is stunningly modern, with a curved glass screen encompassing the 14.9-inch infotainment system screen and the 12.3-inch driver’s cluster. The infotainment system has touch and voice controls and a touchpad controller. The iX also has a panoramic roof, a rearview camera with a washer, a heated steering wheel, a wireless phone charger, a 12-speaker audio system, a navigation system, five USB ports, a four-zone climate control system, heated seats, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, faux leather material, power-folding side mirrors with integrated turning signals and others. In addition, the iX’s safety features are parking assistance, lane-keeping, parking assistance, adaptive cruise control, forward collision mitigation, a lane departure warning, and a few additional features.
