What’s New for the 2023 BMW 3 Series?
As you explore the exciting compact car models on the market today, the luxurious 3 Series from BMW may understandably take place at the top of your list. This sophisticated, athletic model’s seventh generation debuted in 2019 with bold updates throughout, and the 3 Series has continued to be enhanced in recent years. For 2023, the 3 Series has several brilliant updates you will love.
On the exterior, the 2023 3 Series shows a light refresh that gives it a modernized look. Its sporty personality shines through with an extended, two-part grille and aggressive, scalloped headlights on the rounded nose. The bold air vents and thin bumper add to its athletic design. From the side view, you will notice a flowing, arched accent line that runs across the lower doors. The exterior features available in the 2022 BMW 3 Series include adaptive LED headlights, 19-inch wheels, heated side mirrors, and a power sunroof.
The interior has been dressed with a redesigned dashboard. Both the driver’s gauges and the infotainment system screen are more extensive, and they have been joined together flawlessly for a modern touch. To enhance the dashboard’s clean look, buttons in the center stack in 2022 are now integrated into the display screen. Other aspects of the 2023 3 Series remain the same. For example, the entry-level trim has simulated leather material, an automatic climate management system, BMW’s connected services, an integrated navigation system, and forward collision mitigation. Other 3 Series trims offer hands-free keyless entry, authentic leather material, heated seats, a Harman Kardon sound system, a heated steering wheel, and a head-up display screen.
The three powertrains offered in the 2022 model year are unchanged for the 2023 3 Series. All engines combine an eight-speed auto transmission and a rear-wheel drivetrain, but all-wheel drive is possible. The entry-level 3 Series draws 255 horsepower from a four-cylinder turbocharged engine. A hybrid variant engine is in the mid-level trim for 2023 and offers 288 net horsepower. A 382-horsepower V6 turbo engine sits in the top trim level. If you opt for this trim level, your 3 Series’ performance will also be enhanced by a sports differential, upgraded brakes, and a sports suspension.
