What’s New for the 2022 BMW X4?
The stunning X4 has been a top option for Milwaukee’s luxury auto shoppers for years. After debuting its second generation in 2019, the X4 has progressively been updated with exciting improvements in recent years. For 2022, this crossover coupe retains its athletic styling. It shows off a robust lower front fascia, a two-part grille, and dual-elemental LED headlights on the nose. The hood maintains its prominent stature, and the roof is raked sharply across a hatchback-style liftgate. The sides have three distinct definition lines.
While the exterior style is unchanged, the 2022 X4 has a few improvements inside the cabin. The entire center console and the driver’s instrumentation panel have been redesigned with a modern look. In addition, Amazon Alexa and Android Auto are now a part of the infotainment system’s features. These features are in combination with a slew of equipment that carries up from the 2021 model year. Continued features include a navigation system, heated leather seats, Apple CarPlay, a high-level sound system, ambient lighting, a digital infotainment system screen, numerous assistive safety features, a panoramic sunroof, a push-button ignition, and more.
Another essential update to the 2022 BMW X4 is the updated engine in the M40i trim level. This is a mild-hybrid system with a 48-volt battery. The I6 gas engine that is offered on the xDrive30i trim level is unchanged. Both engines are paired with an eight-speed auto transmission and all-wheel drive. The Dynamic Handling package is being provided on the base trim level and is standard on the M40i trim level. It includes an adaptive suspension system and enhanced braking equipment.
