What’s New for the 2022 BMW i4?

For Milwaukee’s drivers who desire the luxury of a BMW sedan and the benefits of a green vehicle, a new option is on the market for you to consider. The BMW i4 is an all-electric sedan that is new for the 2022 model year. It has all of the traits you may love about BMW models in general, combining these traits with green technology. The exterior is decadently designed with sculpted sides and a prominent, rounded nose. The segmented grille has an all-electric, black backing for a touch of distinction. This is combined with horizontal lines running through the front air portals and a pair of scalloped LED headlights.

Inside, the modern feel of the i4 continues. It boasts sculpted, leather-covered seats with a heated steering wheel, metallic accents, and ambient lighting. The center console and stack are driver-centric. The center stack’s central display screen that takes a top position extends to the left to connect with the digital driver’s display panel. Additional features in the I4 are a navigation system, a rotary selector knob for the driving modes, a wireless charging station, a push-button starter, smart device integration, an auto climate management system, a sunroof, a high-end sound system, and a full collection of tech-rich safety features.

The i4 is available in two trim levels. The base eDrive 40 has a rear-mounted motor that generates 335 horsepower. It can reach 60 miles per hour in 5.7 seconds. At this trim level, you can enjoy an air suspension system and a 300-mile range. The M50 trim level has front and rear-mounted engines for an all-wheel drive driving experience. The pair generates 469 horsepower, and the Sport Boost mode takes this to 536 horsepower for a brief period. This trim level launches to 60 miles per hour in 3.9 seconds, and it has the same battery range as the eDrive40 trim level.
