For 2022, the BMW 2 Series shows off the results of a grand redesign throughout the interior and exterior. The exterior is aggressively sleek, with powerful definition rounding over the hood and across the rear haunches. The nose is slightly rounded with a compact, two-part grille. A scalloped ribbon of light underscores the LED headlights. At the same time, the lower front fascia has triangular air vents for added definition.
Inside the cabin, the 2022 BMW 2 Series has been upgraded with fine materials. Metallic accents combine with ambient lighting to complete the look. The design shows off a digital driver’s gauge, a three-prong steering wheel, and a trapezoidal display screen mounted on top of the center stack. The climate control system’s interface and air vents sit directly below the infotainment system screen.
For 2022, the 2 Series loses its manual transmission. In exchange, both of the engine options express more power for you to enjoy across every mile. One of the options is a turbo 2.0-liter, four-cylinder machine. This is a rear-wheel-drive design, and it delivers 255 horsepower. The other engine available is a turbo 3.0-liter I-6 engine that produces 382 horsepower. Both options are offered with an eight-speed auto transmission. Select trims may also have a sport rear differential, an adaptive suspension system, and other elite mechanical features.
