2020 BMW 3 Series vs 2020 Lexus ES

Serving Milwaukee, WI

We are going to take a look at the 2020 BMW 3series and the 2020 Lexus ES. Both are among the top-rated cars in the small luxury sedans class and are popular among consumers as entry-level cars for their brands.

Reliability

A reliable vehicle often saves its owner money, time, and give them a peace of mind knowing their vehicle doesn't break down anytime soon. The BMW 3 Series is miles ahead of its competitors when it comes to reliability. Widely known for its exceptional engineering, the German car produces a car that will provide an excellent service to the owner for multiple years. The Lexus ES is also a reliable car in its own right, but it can't compete with the German engineering in the BMW 3 Series.

Performance

The BMW 3 Series provides the ideal mix of prestige, comfort, and performance anyone can find in the small luxury sedans class. The new model is around 1.5 inches wider and 3 inches longer, but it is still as steady and sharp in the corners as before. Its appeal comes from a more powerful, larger chassis with a tuned suspension, which significantly improves its already remarkable performance. Its power comes from a four-cylinder turbocharged engine from the previous model that can produce even more power but with less torque. With a six-cylinder option in the M340i that produces 382 horsepower and 369 lb-ft of torque, it gives the driver more than enough ability to get around town fast. The Lexus ES, meanwhile, offers a V6 engine that can only put out 302 horsepower compared to the BMW. It's also not able to deliver the same excellent driving experience as some of its competitors.

Interior

Both cars are offering luxurious interiors packed with all sorts of technology. BMW 3 Series has a hi-tech interior with a design that's both flashy and conservative at the same time. It comes with brushed metal trims found on the dashboard linking the air vents beside the doors to the center console of the climate control. All the buttons are neatly organized into sensible groups, one for the stereo, climate control, and the infotainment system. The BMW has leather seats in multiple colors such as black, brown, cream, and blue with any choice for color of stitching. Lexus also offers a luxurious interior, but compared to the BMW, it is not as organized, and it is also not as packed with technology.
